Senior Frontend Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the platform team at Redesign Health, you will be responsible for bringing their products and services to life. Working closely with a collaborative team, you will play a critical role in designing and executing the entire lifecycle for the platform product, from development to deployment and scaling. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of taking concepts from prototype to user-pleasing products in a modern scalable framework. You will collaborate with partners across the company to create platform tools, implement React apps, maintain feedback loops with UX and QA colleagues, and mentor junior team members.

• Collaborate with partners across the company to create Platform tools that enable users to do their best work
• Implement React apps in feature-focused, component-driven development cycles
• Maintain tight feedback loops with UX and QA colleagues using Storybook
• Mentor more junior members of the team and instill a culture of best practices into the engineering organization
• Design and implement responsive, customer-facing web apps
• Fluent in TypeScript or can achieve fluency quickly
• Comfortable with foundational HTML/CSS/JS and HTTP concepts
• Manipulate Hooks, styled components, and other React concepts to achieve desired results
• Collaborate effectively with visual designers in Figma
• Use or extend Chakra UI as appropriate

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of React experience
• Experience taking products and architecture from 0 to 1
• Experience developing UI components or UI tests in Storybook
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, source control, and issue tracking software
• Experience working on component libraries or design systems
• Ability to design and implement responsive, customer-facing web apps
• Fluent in TypeScript or able to achieve fluency quickly
• Strong understanding of foundational HTML/CSS/JS and HTTP concepts
• Proficiency in manipulating Hooks, styled components, and other React concepts
• Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with visual designers
• Familiarity with using or extending Chakra UI as appropriate
