About The Position

Contabo is hiring two full-time, permanent Senior Frontend Developers to start as soon as possible. The company is remote-first within Germany, with the option to work hybrid or entirely on-site if you are near one of its locations. You will join a new team responsible for creating and maintaining Contabo’s new product line. In a greenfield environment, you will help make design, code, and infrastructure decisions guided by product strategy and time-to-market. The role focuses on customer-facing interfaces, primarily the GUI, as well as other cloud-native open-source tools such as Terraform and CLIs. You will build on APIs developed by other teams, work closely with UX designers, help standardize APIs, and shape product design through integration with design frameworks. You will also participate in on-call and work with the team to improve system redundancy and uptime. Requirements

Strong production experience with TypeScript 5.9 and the ability to use its type system to prevent bugs.
Experience with Svelte 5, including client-side routing with svelte5-router. Deep prior Svelte experience is not required if you are strong in TypeScript and a comparable modern reactive framework.
Experience building and consuming REST APIs, including APIs that are still evolving.
Familiarity with Docker, Webpack 5, and PostCSS, including containerized builds and frontend tooling.
Experience with Svelte Material UI (SMUI) or a comparable component library.
Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright and/or Cypress.
Experience with Keycloak.js or a comparable SSO/OAuth implementation.
Fluent English skills.

Nice To Haves

German language skills.
Experience with Svelte is not essential if the candidate has strong TypeScript skills and experience with a comparable modern reactive framework.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain Contabo’s new product line as part of a new team.
