About The Position
VTG is hiring an experienced Front-End JavaScript Developer to join its software development team in Chantilly, Virginia. The role involves hands-on development of modern web applications and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions. The position calls for a strong foundation in JavaScript, familiarity with modern software development practices, and highly desired experience with React, as well as familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks and back-end technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, including academic and professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on JavaScript development experience.
- Strong understanding of front-end software development principles and modern web application architecture.
- Experience developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining software applications.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, onsite development environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with React is highly desired.
- Familiarity with additional JavaScript frameworks and back-end development technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, interactive, and user-friendly web applications using JavaScript and modern front-end technologies.
- Develop reusable front-end components and implement intuitive user interfaces that support application requirements.
- Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and stakeholders to translate technical and functional requirements into effective software solutions.
- Develop and enhance front-end application functionality while ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Use modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including React and Angular, to support application development.
- Integrate front-end applications with back-end services and APIs.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews, software testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow established software development standards, coding practices, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to support application integration and full-stack development efforts.
- Contribute to software design discussions and identify opportunities to improve application functionality and user experience.
