About The Position
DePuy Synthes is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst, Policy and Procedures, in Raynham, Massachusetts. The role strengthens financial governance across DePuy Synthes by leading the development, maintenance, and interpretation of accounting policies and procedures. It partners with Finance, Tax, Internal Audit, Compliance, and other stakeholders to support compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The position offers broad exposure across finance operations and the opportunity to influence consistent application of accounting policies across the organization. The role also supports the implementation of new or revised policies through training materials, communications, and change management activities; monitors policy adherence and identifies opportunities for improvement or simplification; and prepares analyses, documentation, and reports for management decision-making and governance requirements. Travel is up to 10%, primarily domestic.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, policy, or internal controls within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and policy governance.
- Experience interpreting and applying accounting policies across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex information and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical guidance into plain language.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Business proficiency in English.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and audit processes.
- Experience supporting global or multi-entity organizations.
- Prior involvement in policy harmonization, process improvement, or transformation initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of global accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze changes in accounting standards and company policy, translating them into clear, actionable guidance.
- Partner with Finance, Tax, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to support financial audits, risk assessments, and control reviews.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and interpretation of accounting policies to business partners and finance teams.
- Support implementation of new or revised policies through training materials, communications, and change management activities.
- Monitor adherence to established policies and procedures and identify opportunities for improvement or simplification.
- Prepare analyses, documentation, and reports to support management decision-making and governance requirements.
