About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Sales Finance and Sales teams for Dollar General and Value, combining customer-facing finance partnership with Revenue Growth Management execution. This person will turn performance results, pricing and promotional activity, and customer investment decisions into clear financial insights and recommendations. This role is a strong fit for someone who is curious, eager to learn, proactive about improving how work gets done, and effective at building strong cross-functional relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, Sales Finance, Revenue Management, FP&A, or a related area
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with advanced Excel capability
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information and turn insights into action
  • A proactive mindset, with the initiative to identify opportunities, improve processes, and drive greater efficiency
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across functions
  • Strong attention to detail and the a disciplined approach to execution

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CPG, customer finance, trade promotion, or commercial finance preferred
  • Experience with tools such as SAP, TPM/Compass, or similar reporting platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Finance and Sales to support Dollar General and Value across financial planning, performance analysis, and Revenue Growth Management execution
  • Analyze pricing, trade promotion, and customer investment activity to deliver clear recommendations that support profitable growth
  • Build and enhance models, reporting, and insights that improve visibility to customer performance, promotional effectiveness, and return on investment
  • Support planning, forecasting, and business reviews by identifying key variances, risks, opportunities, and actions
  • Maintain financial and performance tracking for customer plans, including visibility to expected versus actual return on investment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage financial routines, planning inputs, and customer-related deliverables with accuracy and discipline
  • Support exception and incremental funding requests through financial analysis and coordination with key partners
  • Develop ad hoc analysis and materials that help leaders understand risks, opportunities, and actions needed to improve performance
  • Help improve processes, simplify reporting, and strengthen the effectiveness of recurring ways of working
