Senior Financial Analyst - Strategic Finance
About The Position
Sphera is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Strategic Finance team. This role is integral to various forecasting, planning, and reporting processes, focusing on maintaining and improving the company’s business intelligence infrastructure, monthly KPI reporting, and financial reporting/forecasting for the services/consulting business. The position will also involve ad-hoc analysis for senior financial leadership, the executive team, and the financial sponsor. This highly visible role offers diverse business exposure and requires strong analytical skills, an interest in financial data systems, and the ability to design, implement, and improve reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4), or 3-5 years of experience in a financial analyst or related position.
- Alteryx and PowerBI fluency required.
- Advanced Excel (including strong modeling skills) and intermediate PowerPoint skills required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fluid and fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities.

- NetSuite and Salesforce experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Finance team’s data & analytics initiatives, including the maintenance and improvement of existing Alteryx workflows and PowerBI reports.
- Prepare financial and operational KPIs (e.g., bookings, pipeline, win rates, average selling price) and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting for the Services/Consulting business, including analysis of monthly results against budgets and re-forecasting projections.
- Construct financial models for recurring forecasting, annual budgeting, and scenario planning for growth opportunities.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting presentations for the Executive team and Board of Directors.
- Assist with M&A activities, including post-acquisition integration of financial data and systems.
- Conduct ad-hoc deep dives on business issues and opportunities.
