Senior EP Mapping Specialist - CAS
About The Position
Medtronic is seeking an EP Mapping Specialist to provide clinical and technical support and training for cardiac mapping, navigation, and Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) products. The specialist works with clinicians, engineers, physicians, hospital personnel, and sales teams to support procedures, promote safe and effective product use, and help achieve sales objectives. The role also develops customer relationships and serves as a regional resource for mapping technology proficiency. This is a remote position, but the employee must reside within the assigned territory and travel to multiple accounts throughout the region. The specialist must be available in the territory for unscheduled needs, may occasionally travel outside the territory and stay overnight, and is expected to drive approximately 25–50% of the time. A valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance are required. The position involves exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
Requirements
- High school diploma and a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; or an associate degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Must reside within the assigned territory and be available there each day for unscheduled needs.
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed.
- Ability to drive approximately 25–50% of the time within the assigned territory and occasionally travel outside it, potentially overnight.
- Ability to move throughout a facility and use a phone, keyboard, mouse, and personal computers.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8 hours a day.
- For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
Nice To Haves
- B.A./B.S. degree in nursing, cardiovascular studies, life sciences, or a technical discipline, with at least four years of work experience in a cardiac field, hospital/clinic, or sales.
- Proven track record with technical training assignments.
- Experience in cardiac catheter ablation, an EP lab, a hospital/clinic, or EP medical sales providing technical or clinical support.
- Ability to travel more than 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures.
- Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
- Understand and support national, regional, and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals within all CAS products.
- Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business.
- Partner with Account Managers, Regional Managers, and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Collaborate and strategize with the local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.
- Collaborate and communicate with sales and clinical teams in the region.
- Represent Medtronic CAS effectively to physicians and support staff regarding CAS products, service, and support.
- Serve as a regional champion, sharing experience and influencing others to become proficient in mapping technology.
