Senior Engineering Manager - Partner Ecosystem
About The Position
Airbnb is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for its Communication and Connectivity team within the Guest & Host organization. The role focuses on the connectivity branch, which evolves an integration platform that connects third-party property management systems at scale. The manager will lead the evolution of the supply integration platform and help expand the third-party supply ecosystem. The role sets the third-party supply growth strategy and technical roadmap with cross-functional leaders, and defines technical and AI strategy to improve the platform’s capability, efficiency, quality, and scalability. The manager builds and mentors a high-performing engineering team, provides people and technical leadership across multiple projects, and partners with senior leaders across Data Science, Product, and Business Development to establish strategies, roadmaps, and iterative milestones. The position also works directly with business and third-party partners to select partnerships, deliver high-quality integrations, and maintain partner reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 12+ years of overall engineering experience, including 5+ years managing a team in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Significant experience navigating internal partners across multiple teams, driving strategy and alignment, managing dependencies and competing priorities, and providing direction.
- Experience building, leading, and architecting full-stack products and systems at enterprise scale with significant impact.
- Experience applying modern artificial intelligence technologies to products and development cycles.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience leading project teams, setting technical direction and strategy, and working cross-functionally with Product and Data Science teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including influencing others, assessing tradeoffs, and communicating technical initiatives to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the supply integration platform and advance the third-party supply ecosystem.
- Set the third-party supply growth strategy and technical roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional leadership.
- Set the platform’s technical and AI strategy to improve capability, efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Build, grow, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team across multiple projects.
- Partner with senior leaders in Data Science, Product, and Business Development to align strategies, define multi-year roadmaps, and execute iterative milestones.
- Work with business and third-party partners to select partnerships, deliver high-quality integrations, and ensure partner reliability and performance.
- Coach and develop engineers in their careers, technical expertise, and collaboration skills.
- Serve as a senior technical voice, align priorities, and drive delivery with cross-functional leaders.
