Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer (SMES)

L3Harris•Camden, NJ
•Onsite

About The Position

L3Harris Integrated Systems & Encryption (IS&E) is a global provider of secure communication systems and products supporting mission-critical space, ground, air, and naval operations. The Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer supports end-to-end design and development of high-speed digital electronic modules and circuit boards, from concept through production. The work includes deriving hardware requirements, developing design concepts, and designing circuitry that may include microprocessors, memories, FPGAs, voltage regulators, power-reset sequencers, analog circuits, and interface transceivers. The engineer captures schematics using CAD tools, participates in design reviews, and works with the ECAD department on printed wiring board layout and routing. After board fabrication and assembly, the engineer tests and verifies the electronics assembly and supports firmware and software integration. The role also involves producing requirements specifications, design documents, test plans, and test procedures. The position is on-site in Camden, New Jersey, on a regular 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off and minimal travel.
