Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer (SMES)

L3Harris Technologies•Camden, NJ
•$93,341 - $175,188•Onsite

About The Position

L3Harris Integrated Systems & Encryption (IS&E) designs, develops, and produces secure communication systems and products supporting mission-critical space, ground, air, and naval operations. The Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer will support end-to-end design and development of high-speed digital electronic modules and circuit boards. The work includes reviewing and deriving hardware requirements, developing design concepts, and performing detailed electrical design of circuitry, which may include microprocessors, program and data memories, FPGAs, voltage regulators, power reset sequencers, analog circuitry, and interface transceiver circuits. The engineer will capture designs as schematic diagrams using CAD tools, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with the ECAD department on printed wiring board (PWB) layout and routing. After fabrication and component assembly, the engineer will test and verify the electronics assembly and support firmware and software integration. The role also involves producing requirements specifications, design documents, and comprehensive test plans and procedures. The position is on-site in Camden, New Jersey, on a regular 9/80 schedule, with minimal travel required.
