About The Position

The Senior Hardware Validation Engineer - Compute Validation will validate and release next-generation compute hardware for GM’s software-defined vehicles, including its in-house-designed Central Compute Unit. The engineer leads validation activities for complex ECU platforms, owning test strategy, execution, issue resolution, and release readiness across environmental, EMC, and functional validation domains. The role calls for technical leadership, hands-on debugging, and close collaboration with hardware, software, systems, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams. The position is part of Compute & Connectivity Hardware (CCH), within GM’s Vehicle Software & Electronics Engineering organization. CCH develops the physical hardware foundation for GM’s software-defined vehicles, including compute, connectivity, networking, displays, and other electronic platforms. Its work spans architecture, requirements, design, systems integration, validation, launch, and in-market performance. The role is hybrid, with the selected candidate expected to report to a specific location at least three times a week or at a frequency determined by their manager. Travel is less than 25%. Relocation benefits are available to eligible candidates under company policy.
