About The Position

The Senior Hardware Validation Engineer - Compute Validation will validate and release next-generation compute hardware for General Motors’ software-defined vehicles. The role leads validation for complex ECU platforms, owning test strategy, execution, issue resolution, and release readiness across environmental, EMC, and functional validation domains. It involves technical leadership, hands-on debugging, and collaboration with hardware, software, systems, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams. The engineer will lead validation of central compute platforms throughout product development, develop strategies and test plans, define interface validation requirements and acceptance criteria, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. The position also owns environmental and EMC validation, leads board bring-up and lab testing, assesses product readiness and risk, supports quality and compliance activities, and communicates results to engineering and program leadership. The role is categorized as hybrid, with the selected candidate expected to report to a specific location at least three times a week or at another frequency set by their manager. Travel is required less than 25% of the time. Relocation benefits are available to candidates who qualify under company policy.
