About The Position

The Senior Director, Strategy and Program Development provides leadership over Evolent's Oncology strategy. The role monitors the competitive landscape, vendors working on medical expense innovation, and the evolution of oncology business models. It also identifies and incubates priority programs through pilot to strengthen Evolent's risk-management capabilities and competitive differentiation. The position maintains an external view of market, competitor, payer, regulatory, and oncology care-delivery trends; assesses gaps between the oncology product, market needs, and current performance; and builds and refreshes an 18–24 month oncology strategy and roadmap. It shapes a small number of new programs from concept through pilot, evaluates build, buy, or partner options, leads early-stage partner discussions and diligence in collaboration with Growth/BD, and defines pilot design, success criteria, and go/no-go decisions. Proven programs are handed off to Implementation, Product, Performance, and Operations for scaled delivery. Evolent describes a work culture that supports work/life balance, flexibility, autonomy, diversity, and inclusion. The expected base salary range is $150,000–$160,000.
