About The Position

Supports the development agenda for strategic and business planning, product development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alignment of DHL Supply Chain’s businesses, and various projects. The role supports DHL Supply Chain NORAM businesses by providing advanced process, tools, facilitation, and challenge for strategic and business planning and acquisition or strategic relationship activities; working closely with sector leads to provide a strategic perspective and, where agreed, assist with delivery of critical business-plan initiatives; and defining, assessing, and developing strategic products for deployment in NORAM businesses.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Business, English, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience with real supply chain issues for companies in one of the organization’s sectors.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in strategic planning or analysis, account management, or acquisitions or strategic partnerships.

Nice To Haves

• MBA.
• Experience as a management consultant or investment banker, or in a strategic role in a supply chain function.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the business-planning process and facilitate its implementation.
• Assist division and sector teams in developing strategies and business plans.
• Lead or assist division and/or sector teams in completing agreed key strategic actions.
• Monitor strategic progress and facilitate completion of targeted actions.
• Define, assess, and develop products intended to accelerate NORAM revenue and profit growth.
• Lead development of systematic processes to manage product development from idea creation through delivery and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Manage acquisition and partnering strategies and objectives.
• Identify and vet target companies that expand DSC’s capabilities, including industry domain experts, consultancies, and financial advisory firms.
• Support the establishment and growth of strategic partnerships.
• Identify potential acquisition targets.
• Assist with modeling and valuation.
• Lead the due diligence process.
• Prepare project papers and presentations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
