About The Position

Supports the Development agenda, including strategic and business planning, product development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alignment of DHL Supply Chain’s businesses, and various projects. Supports DHL Supply Chain’s NORAM businesses by providing advanced support—including processes, tools, facilitation, and challenge—for strategic and business planning and acquisition and strategic relationship activities; working closely with sector leads on a day-to-day basis to provide strategic perspective and, when agreed, assist in delivering critical business plan initiatives; and defining, assessing, and developing strategic products for deployment in NORAM businesses.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Business, English, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience with real supply chain issues for companies in one of the organization’s sectors.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in strategic planning/analysis, account management, or acquisitions/strategic partnerships.

• MBA.
• Experience as a management consultant or investment banker, or in a strategic role in a supply chain function.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the business planning process and facilitate its implementation.
• Assist division and sector teams in developing strategies and business plans.
• Lead or assist division and/or sector teams in completing agreed key strategic actions.
• Monitor strategic progress and facilitate the successful completion of targeted actions.
• Define, assess, and develop products to accelerate NORAM revenue and profit growth.
• Lead development of systematic processes for managing product development from idea creation through delivery and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Manage acquisition and partnering strategies and objectives.
• Identify and vet target companies that can expand DSC’s capabilities, including industry domain experts, consultancies, and financial advisory firms.
• Support the establishment and growth of strategic partnerships.
• Identify potential acquisition targets.
• Assist with modeling and valuation.
• Lead the due diligence process.
• Prepare project papers and presentations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
