About The Position

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Director of Sales to lead and develop the Strategic Account Organization in creating and implementing the sales plan, developing relationships with customers, and driving opportunities and revenue growth. You will develop your team and work with our business units and executives to execute and drive growth. In this role, you will focus on creating and executing the sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability, developing, identifying, and closing new customer opportunities, partnering with marketing to plan and coordinate product launches including positioning, pricing, training, product promotions, support, and competitive response, monitoring competitive and market activity, providing feedback and recommendations to the business units and executive team, providing timely and accurate customer demand forecast, and recruiting, hiring, and developing your sales team.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and managing direct sales
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and close opportunities
  • Successful experience leading, managing, and developing teams
  • Proven ability to recruit and hire key talent
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in our target markets including broadband, WiFi, wireless, and enterprise customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field + 14 years of experience, or MS + 12 years of experience
