About The Position

The Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships is responsible for guiding the strategic vision for marketing initiatives, cultivating high-impact partnerships, and overseeing the planning and execution of go-to-market activities. This role ensures that marketing and partnership strategies are grounded in user value creation and have the opportunity to influence the prioritization and execution of key product and brand initiatives. The role involves guiding the strategic vision and direction of marketing initiatives, developing and executing go-to-market strategies to support growth goals, ensuring strategies are based on user value and market needs, prioritizing cross-product and cross-functional marketing initiatives, consulting with leaders on marketing initiatives, collaborating with global and regional marketing teams, preparing strategic marketing plans for leadership, managing the go-to-market team for content, campaigns, and events, leading quarterly planning sessions, ensuring team objective alignment, tracking key performance indicators, maintaining a centralized file system, delegating tasks to internal and external partners, overseeing trade shows and events, and managing budgets. Additionally, the role involves identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships to advance marketing and business objectives, maintaining partner relationships, defining a framework for evaluating partnership opportunities, and identifying new industry partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with technology solutions supporting the construction industry required.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in software product management and customer-facing commercialization highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the strategic vision and direction of marketing initiatives
  • Develop and execute go to market strategies that support the growth goals of DEWALT in general and the Construction Technology group in particular.
  • Ensure strategies are grounded in user value creation and market needs by maintaining an in-depth understanding of market expectations and industry trends.
  • Prioritize cross-product and cross-functional marketing initiatives for maximum impact.
  • Consult with product and business leaders on the scope and definition of key marketing initiatives, including the development of new campaigns and features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, including global brand marketing and regional marketing teams, to ensure marketing effectiveness.
  • Prepare and deliver strategic marketing plans and regular updates to SBD leadership.
  • Manage go-to-market team responsible for content, campaigns and events
  • Lead quarterly planning sessions to align team objectives with annual goals.
  • Ensure the team is tracking and reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Maintain a centralized OneDrive folder for all marketing, partnership, and project files.
  • Delegate responsibility for collaboration with internal marketing partners and external agencies.
  • Oversee planning and execution of trade shows and events, including the annual Summit, and in partnership with other teams across the business as needed.
  • Plan and maintain budget and track spending against that budget to ensure proper spending and allocation of resources.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that advance marketing and business objectives
  • Maintain or oversee the maintenance of relationships with key partners.
  • Define a strategic framework to evaluate partnership opportunities.
  • Identify and nurture new industry partnerships that align with business strategy, expanding and strengthening workflow solutions and addressing important user needs.
