Senior Customer Engineer, Majors - NE

Cloudflare•New York, NY
•$204,000 - $321,000

About The Position

Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Customer Engineer to support customers in the Northeast. The Customer Engineer is a trusted technical advisor and primary architect of the customer journey, bridging technical strategy and business value from pre-sales validation through onboarding, deployment planning, adoption, renewal, and expansion. The role sits within the go-to-market organization and reports to a Customer Engineering Leader. It is quota-carrying, with commercial accountability for new business and/or account growth. The engineer provides oversight and guidance for onboarding and implementation but does not execute implementation work. AI-augmented workflows are used to reduce routine administrative tasks and make more time for customer architecture and advisory work. The role partners with Account Executives and customer teams to understand requirements, design fit-for-purpose Cloudflare architectures, guide technical evaluations, and demonstrate business outcomes. It also supports adoption and account health, identifies risks and expansion opportunities, conducts technical business reviews, and creates technical enablement resources for customers and internal teams. Travel may be required up to 20–50% for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and in-person team collaboration. For New York City-based hires, the estimated annual salary is $204,000–$321,000. Compensation includes a variable component tied to commercial targets. The role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
