Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Customer Engineer to support customers across Central and Eastern Europe. The role is available in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and London, United Kingdom. As a technical advisor and architect of the customer journey, the Senior Customer Engineer bridges technical strategy and business value, guiding enterprise customers from pre-sales validation through onboarding, deployment planning, adoption, renewal, and expansion. The role is part of the go-to-market organization and reports to a Customer Engineering Leader. It is quota-carrying, with variable compensation tied to commercial goals. The position provides oversight and guidance for onboarding and implementation but does not execute implementation work directly. The Senior Customer Engineer collaborates with Account Executives and customer stakeholders to understand requirements, design suitable Cloudflare architectures, run technical evaluations, and demonstrate how Cloudflare addresses performance, security, and reliability needs. The role also supports customer adoption and value realization, identifies risks and expansion opportunities, and advises on architecture, security, AI control layers, and deployment confidence. AI agents, LLMs, and internal platforms are used to automate routine tasks and free time for strategic customer work. The role includes developing technical enablement resources and educating internal teams and customers. Travel may be required for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and in-person team collaboration, up to 20–50%. The role offers a competitive base salary and variable incentive compensation tied to full-lifecycle commercial targets. For hires based in the Netherlands, the estimated annual salary range is €111,000–€174,000, inclusive of estimated on-target incentive compensation. The position is eligible for Cloudflare’s equity plan.
