About The Position

The Senior Crew Leader is responsible for ensuring the proper and safe upkeep of County roads and supervising road crews. The position leads crews on construction projects as directed by the Roads Superintendent and supervises the operation of a variety of heavy-duty and specialized equipment used in highway, bridge, and dam maintenance and construction. When not assigned to equipment, the Senior Crew Leader may be required to perform other highway maintenance duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Five years of experience in highway maintenance and construction operations.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Airbrake endorsement.
• Valid DOT physical card.
• Ability to comprehend safety training.
• Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day for emergency situations.
• Ability to pass drug testing and a background check.
