•$100,000 - $130,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Adyen is hiring a Senior Credit Operations Analyst, Collections & Recovery, based in Chicago. The role owns a portfolio of US merchants in arrears across Adyen’s financial products, including cash advances, capital loans, charge cards, overdrafts, and hardware financing. The analyst resolves cases end to end, from initial outreach through repayment plans, recovery, or escalation, while helping the growing operation become scalable, compliant, and increasingly automated. The analyst manages their portfolio independently within established playbooks and approval limits, escalating exceptions such as settlements, write-offs, and legal action to senior colleagues. The position works across Credit Risk, Product, Finance, Legal, and second-line Risk and Compliance teams. The role is hybrid in Chicago, with three in-office days per week. The annual base salary range is $100,000–$130,000.

  • Comfort using collections platforms or CRM tools and Excel or Google Sheets for basic reporting.
  • A low-ego, high-accountability approach to working with Risk, Legal, Finance, and Product.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools and automation to increase operational efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collecting on commercial credit products such as merchant cash advances, working capital loans, charge cards, overdrafts, or equipment financing.

  • Experience handling legal escalations, settlements, charge-offs, or third-party agency placements.

  • A track record of improving collections processes, building playbooks, or helping automate workflows.

  • Monitor portfolio health, including delinquency rates, roll rates, promise-to-pay, and cure rates, and flag emerging risks.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of merchant interactions and case decisions.
  • Ensure recovery actions comply with US federal and state collections, servicing, and lending rules.
  • Help design and improve collections tooling, automation, and workflows to scale operations.
