Senior CPU Performance Verification Engineer
About The Position
This individual independently plans, performs the moderately-defined responsibility for the overseeing of innovative CPU design efforts that have a critical impact on industries across the world. Interfaces with all disciplines to design, verify, and implement multi-core Computer Processing Unit (CPU) operations for QCT. Applies CPU architectural, micro-architecture, and physical design concepts to deliver high performance and low power CPUs. Evaluates all aspects of the design process from concept to productization that meet customer and industry standards. Collaborate with CPU Performance Architecture and RTL team members to identify opportunities for product improvement. Analyze workloads to identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities. Perform self-guided performance simulation studies of design alternatives. Work with RTL and design team to assess implementation cost for new features. Collaborate with performance team to maintain and improve the simulation environment for increased productivity. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.
Requirements
- Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field
