CPU Design Verification Engineer

Apple•Cupertino, CA

About The Position

Apple Inc. is hiring a CPU Design Verification Engineer to work in Cupertino, California, and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. The role works closely with architecture and RTL designers to verify functional correctness of CPU designs. The engineer develops and leads test plans and test environments; develops complex assembly-, C-, or vector-based tests; develops coverage monitors and analyzes coverage to confirm planned tests are covered; develops checkers or C-based transactors; and owns verification for a specific area of CPU functionality. The role also involves verifying complex datapath and control logic, debugging assembly- and C-based stimulus, triaging functional issues and conducting root-cause analysis, participating in silicon bring-up to reproduce silicon issues in pre-silicon simulation, and debugging and validating hardware/software interfaces. The position is 40 hours per week. The stated annual base-pay range is $174,149–$194,700, with pay dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
