Tyson & Mendes is hiring an experienced California litigator to join its growing Los Angeles practice under Partner Julee Fritsch Earley. The practice focuses on landlord-tenant and habitability litigation, as well as general liability and personal injury matters. The attorney will handle matters involving habitability claims, landlord-tenant disputes, premises-related issues, general negligence, personal injury, and other civil litigation. Relevant experience may come from either plaintiff or defense practice; plaintiff attorneys are encouraged to apply. The role offers meaningful ownership of cases, opportunities to practice independently with partner support, and regular mentoring through weekly team meetings and individual case-strategy discussions. The attorney may expand trial experience, develop as a second chair, and take on greater responsibility as the team grows. Tyson & Mendes describes advancement as transparent, with opportunities tied to performance, initiative, judgment, client service, and leadership. Attorneys have access to the firm’s APEX methodology, Trial Academy, approach to Stopping Nuclear Verdicts®, modern case-management systems, research resources, and AI-enabled legal technology. The team works remotely and stays connected through meetings, regular communication, case discussions, and coordination with support staff. Remote, hybrid, and onsite work options are available. The position pays a base salary of $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable-hours bonus. The firm offers comprehensive benefits, retirement matching, student-loan repayment assistance or a 529 college savings plan for full-time attorneys after one year, paid parental leave, a monthly technology reimbursement, training and leadership development, CLE programs, paid bar-license renewal fees, and a flexible vacation policy for attorneys.
