The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) is accepting applications for four (4) Part-Time Senior Consultant – Staff (ASL) Interpreter positions within the Curriculum, Assessment & Instruction Department. These positions provide high-quality American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind students and staff in educational, extracurricular, and professional settings. Interpreters work collaboratively with Deaf colleagues and other interpreting professionals to ensure equitable communication access while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service. Assignments may include classroom instruction, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, staff meetings, trainings, student activities, field trips, assemblies, and other school-related events. Interpreters are expected to follow the communication preferences of each consumer, adhere to the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct, and support CSDB's Deaf-centered, Deaf-led philosophy. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt, at-will position with a minimum schedule of 20 hours per week during the school calendar year. Occasional evening hours and travel may be required. Hourly compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
