Senior Staff Consultant - Business Analyst
About The Position
The Senior Staff Consultant - Business Analyst works with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and technology needs, and gathers, documents, and analyzes business and functional requirements for technology projects. The role translates business needs into user stories, workflows, and technical specifications, and conducts gap analysis and impact assessments to ensure proposed solutions align with business goals. The position partners with development teams, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions and design scalable, efficient systems. It requires a strong understanding of the software development life cycle, cloud technologies, APIs, databases, and system integrations, as well as the ability to analyze existing systems and recommend improvements. The consultant serves as a liaison between business and technical teams, communicates technical concepts to varied audiences, prepares reports, dashboards, and technical documentation, and facilitates meetings and workshops. The role also supports user acceptance testing, implementation troubleshooting, production transitions, documentation, and training.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience as a business analyst or product owner in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of software development, databases, APIs, cloud computing, and system integration.
- Ability to break down complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with business and technical teams.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Experience working in Agile environments with product owners, developers, and testers.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodologies, API documentation tools such as Postman or Swagger, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in AI, machine learning, or data analytics projects.
- CBAP, CSPO, or Agile certifications.
Responsibilities

- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and technical documentation.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to drive decision-making and solution design.
- Support user acceptance testing by defining test cases and ensuring business requirements are met.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues during implementation.
- Support the transition from development to production with appropriate documentation and training.
