About The Position

As a Mercer human capital consultant, you will be helping companies of all sizes and across all industries solve their greatest challenges by designing and implementing workforce strategies to help them grow within their markets. We help these organizations define and implement an employee experience that makes the right talent want to join, stay, and deliver their best performance. The Senior Communication and Change Management Consultant helps clients promote their total rewards programs and increase employee engagement. You will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, selling client projects that focus on developing and delivering change management and communication strategies, engagement and implementation plans, and associated deliverables that articulate client objectives, advance an employee value proposition, and/or contribute to behavior change through the transmission of information and sharing of employee feedback/emotions. You will lead employee-facing change management and communication engagements across industries. You will perform project management duties, including developing and maintaining project plans, overseeing budgets, coordinating team activities, participating in and facilitating meetings, and other associated tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English, business, organizational effectiveness, communication, journalism, human resources or related field of study.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a human resources consulting environment with proven ability to manage projects and to generate revenue by acquiring new clients, and experience managing and developing a team of professionals.
  • At least 3 years' experience writing corporate internal HR communications, such as compensation, benefits, and policies and/or applicable experience; excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with proven expertise in technical, marketing and persuasive writing.
  • At least 5 years’ proven track record of large complex sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large-scale project teams to deliver quality results to clients.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and deadlines; oversee staff; delegate and peer review all client work; interact with clients on a regular basis and lead client meetings; clarify and resolve unique and difficult issues related to client deliverables; and apply advanced professional and/or technical change management and communication expertise to client projects.
  • Generate revenue through acquisition of new clients, cross-selling to current clients, and expanding current client relationships to offer all available products within the business, including proactively reaching out to provide targeted information on how Mercer offerings will benefit specific client’s needs.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of clients’ culture and industry to develop change management and communication strategies where significant behavioral change is required.
