About The Position

The Senior Collections Representative is responsible for the collections and resolution of all inpatient and outpatient accounts with commercial insurance balances across various work queues. This role involves proactive follow-up with payors regarding nonpayment, underpayments, or incorrect payments in a stratified manner, calculating expected reimbursement, and recommending legal assignment when needed. The Senior Collections Representative will reconcile accounts to closure and work both inpatient and outpatient accounts. This position utilizes multiple databases and applications, including Epic System, Cirius Billing System, Revenue Cycle Pro, and multiple payor websites, to analyze and take appropriate action on information or documents received. There is frequent contact with insurance company representatives, hospital, and clinical departments.

Requirements

• Experience in collections and resolution of accounts with commercial insurance.
• Proficiency in using multiple databases and applications such as Epic System, Cirius Billing System, Revenue Cycle Pro, and Multiple Payor Websites.
• Ability to conduct proactive follow-up with payors.
• Skill in calculating expected reimbursement.
• Experience reconciling accounts to closure.
• Ability to work with both inpatient and outpatient accounts.
• Frequent contact with insurance company representatives, hospital and clinical departments.
