Senior Claims Adjuster Workers Compensation
About The Position
Gallagher Bassett is hiring an experienced workers compensation claims adjuster for a fully remote role handling claims in Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The adjuster investigates, evaluates, and resolves complex workers compensation claims, including lost-time/indemnity and litigated claims. The position requires sound claims decisions, effective communication with parties involved in the claims process, and empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients. Claims must be handled in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, industry practices, and applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. The adjuster documents and communicates claim activity promptly and efficiently, partners with clients to improve claims management, and plans and prioritizes work to serve clients and claimants effectively.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related claims experience, including at least 3 years adjusting a workers compensation desk.
- Workers compensation experience involving lost-time/indemnity and litigation.
- Experience with the Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee jurisdictions.
- An active adjuster license, or reciprocal license, and appropriate licensing and/or certification in all states where claims are handled.
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with related claims and business software.

- Analyze claims exposure, determine an appropriate course of action, and resolve claims.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers compensation claims, including lost-time/indemnity and litigation claims.
- Communicate and work with the various parties involved in the claims process to support effective resolution.
- Provide empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients throughout the claims process.
- Handle claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, industry practices, and statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently.
- Partner with clients to deliver solutions and enhance the claims management process.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to plan and prioritize work.
