About The Position

Gallagher Bassett is hiring an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers compensation claims, including lost-time and indemnity claims. The role applies claims management experience and analytical judgment to assess exposure, select appropriate courses of action, and bring claims to resolution. The adjuster works with clients and other parties involved in the claims process, provides empathetic customer service to claimants, and handles claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, industry practices, and applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. The position is eligible for fully remote work and may handle claims in any jurisdiction, subject to appropriate licensing or certification.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• A minimum of 5 years of related claims experience.
• Appropriate licensing and/or certification in all states in which claims are handled.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate extensively with parties involved in the claim process to support effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional, empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients throughout the claims process.
• Handle claims consistently with client and corporate policies, procedures, accepted practices, and applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activity in a timely and efficient manner.
• Partner with clients to deliver innovative solutions and improve the claims management process.
• Think critically, solve problems, and plan and prioritize work to serve clients and claimants effectively.
