About The Position

Open Arms Solutions is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide personalized in-home care to seniors in Oak Brook and nearby DuPage County communities. The role focuses on supporting clients living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease while helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and daily routines. Caregivers must be available for weekday daytime shifts at least three days per week. Assignments are ongoing and depend on client needs and caregiver availability.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• Previous experience caring for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
• Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, CNA/HHA, DSP, or a similar setting.
• Patience, reliability, and the ability to provide calm, respectful care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Smartphone for communication and care-related documentation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily activities.
• Provide patient, compassionate support for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
• Encourage familiar routines, engagement, and companionship.
• Prepare meals and assist with hydration.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Help with mobility and maintain a safe home environment.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
