PRN Caregiver – Flexible Shifts | Oak Brook, DuPage County
About The Position
Open Arms Solutions is seeking experienced, reliable caregivers for PRN (as-needed) home care assignments in Oak Brook and throughout DuPage County. Scheduling is based on caregiver availability and client needs; PRN work does not guarantee a set number of hours or weekly shifts. Assignments may include part-time shifts, overnight care, live-in work, or short-term and temporary coverage. Caregivers help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes by providing personal care, assistance with mobility and daily activities, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and observation and reporting of changes in a client's condition. The position offers flexible as-needed scheduling, opportunities to accept additional assignments when available, competitive starting pay, paid training, biweekly pay, PTO and health benefits for eligible employees, and an employee referral bonus program. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have at least 1 year of professional caregiving experience in home care, as a CNA, HHA, DSP, or in assisted living, a nursing home, or a similar setting.
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Be authorized to work in the United States.
- Be able to complete required background screenings.
- Be dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently in clients' homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
- Prepare meals and provide hydration reminders.
- Provide companionship and social interaction.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition.
