Senior Care Assistant – In-Home Care
About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care to senior clients. The role offers shorter-hour shifts and flexible scheduling, with local clients and paid travel time between clients. Caregivers support clients with household tasks, meal preparation, medication reminders, activities of daily living, and companionship. Training may be provided to caregivers who need certification or support with ADLs such as bathing and grooming.
Requirements
- HHA or CNA certification; caregivers without certification may receive training.
- Compassion for caregiving and commitment to clients.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to pick up at least two shorter shifts in a day; this is not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Do laundry and change linens.
- Run errands, including grocery shopping.
- Provide light housekeeping and empty trash.
- Prepare basic meals.
- Give medication reminders and, when needed, assist with pre-dosed medications.
- Support clients with activities of daily living.
- Provide companionship.
