About The Position

ComForCare Home Care of Danbury is hiring in-home caregivers to provide compassionate, non-medical support to seniors and adults in their homes. Caregivers help clients maintain safety, comfort, dignity, and independence while providing families with peace of mind. Training, guidance, and support are provided. The role may suit people new to caregiving as well as experienced Personal Care Assistants, Home Health Aides, and Certified Nursing Assistants.

Requirements

• Experience is not necessary; willingness to learn is required.
• Reliable transportation for client visits.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with physical transfers.
• Candidates may be required to complete a background check as a condition of employment, consistent with Connecticut state regulations and applicable federal law.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or credentials as a Personal Care Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Help clients transfer and ambulate safely.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands when applicable.
• Monitor client well-being and report changes to the care team.
