About The Position

ComForCare Home Care is hiring in-home caregivers to help seniors and adults maintain independence, safety, comfort, and dignity in their own homes. The role provides non-medical home care and support to clients while giving their families peace of mind. Training, guidance, and support are provided, and prior caregiving experience is not necessary. The position may suit candidates seeking their first caregiving role, changing careers, returning to work, or bringing experience as a caregiver, HHA, PCA, or CNA.

Requirements

• Experience is not necessary; willingness to learn is required.
• Reliable transportation for client visits.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with physical transfers.
• Candidates may be required to complete a background check as a condition of employment, consistent with Connecticut state regulations and applicable federal law.

Nice To Haves

• Personal Care Assistant, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant experience or credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Help clients transfer and ambulate safely.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands when applicable.
• Monitor clients’ well-being and report changes to the care team.
