About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Engineer designs, implements, and maintains business systems that support organizational operations. The role calls for expertise in business processes, technology, and data management, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and using artificial intelligence to enhance business systems. The engineer works with business teams and users to deliver solutions that meet their needs and support understanding of production process changes. The position also supports the development of junior engineers and systems team members.

Requirements

Understanding of solutions in a Microsoft O365 environment.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Platform.
Programming background in Java, C#, or Python.
Experience with AI tools and techniques, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics.
Experience designing, developing, documenting, and integrating RESTful APIs, including authentication, testing, and monitoring.
At least 5 years of experience in a business systems engineering role.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or finance.
Ability to establish rapport and build relationships.
Strong public communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop technology solutions using methodologies and tools such as Python, SQL, Java, and Microsoft Power Platform.
Create requirements documents to support the development process.
Use Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 to develop and optimize business systems.
Integrate AI tools and techniques to improve system efficiency, data analysis, and decision-making.
Design, develop, document, and maintain secure, scalable APIs and system integrations.
Provide technical support and training to end users.
Conduct regular system audits and performance evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain documentation for system design, implementation, and maintenance.
Work directly with business teams and users during solution delivery to ensure solutions meet business needs and are adequately documented, and to support understanding of production process changes.
Assist junior engineers with solution refactoring and modernization based on the solution inventory.
Mentor junior systems team members on technology trends and advancements and help ensure the team uses modern technology tools.
