As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will act as a key liaison between delivery teams and business stakeholders, supporting both functional enhancements and new solution development. You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for translating business concepts and requirements into effective, client focused, system based solutions. The role contributes to complex and diverse initiatives by defining system scope and objectives grounded in user needs and a strong understanding of supported business applications.

Requirements

  • You have advanced knowledge of integration technologies such as API and Webservices
  • Advanced wireframing skills
  • You are familiar with IDP and authentication including OKTA
  • You are familiar with test management tools such as Postman and Zephyr
  • You have a working knowledge of Automation tools including UFT and RPA
  • You have demonstrated extensive experience with collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro, along with the Microsoft suite of products, including AI-enabled tools like Copilot
  • You have experience with the Appian platform
  • You have working knowledge of SQL, database queries and PowerBI
  • You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.
  • You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
  • You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
  • You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.
  • You are proactive and solution-oriented person who excels in a team environment
  • You have five years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
  • You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Agile practices, SDLC methodologies, processes, and tools as well as project planning methodologies and Lean process improvement tools and techniques.
  • You have a testing background including experience creating and running automated scripts, formulating and executing functional test cases as well as regression and negative tests
  • You have advanced knowledge of process engineering tools and techniques
  • You have experience in Digital capabilities including working with UI/UX designers

Nice To Haves

  • hands-on experience using tools like Figma, Draw.io, and Balsamiq
  • Knowledge of claims and underwriting systems as well as associated processes
  • Work experience in an Insurance Environment
  • ITIL V3 or V4 foundation certification

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating discussions with business partners to collect, document, and validate detailed analysis of business functions, rules and processes required for highly complex projects.
  • Guiding the assessment and selection of technical design solutions, acting as intermediary between the team and the Business stakeholders.
  • Performing detailed data analysis, data modeling, mapping and flow to support system functionality, integrations and conversations.
  • Developing the user acceptance test plan, strategies and leading the overall testing activities for medium to large initiatives.
  • Leading the continuous improvement of the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) practice through research, devising improvements, establishing more efficient processes and providing guidance to other team members.
