About The Position

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is a strategic leader responsible for defining and executing the organization’s BI strategy. The role oversees the design and implementation of enterprise-level BI solutions, ensures data accuracy and security, and provides technical leadership and mentorship to the BI development team. The position works with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align BI initiatives with organizational goals and deliver integrated solutions that support the broader organization. The role is within SNC’s Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Aviation, and Security business area, which develops and integrates manned and unmanned aircraft systems and provides end-to-end C4ISR capabilities. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship. It may involve occasional travel and work in an office or hybrid environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
At least 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role. In the absence of a degree, at least 12 years of related experience is required; relevant experience may substitute for educational qualifications.
Expert proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex, highly optimized queries, and extensive experience with relational databases.
Extensive experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing.
Deep understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts.
Experience with application development.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and communicate frequently with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment and lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Certification in BI tools or data analytics.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, QlikView, TIBCO Spotfire, SAP Business Objects, or SAP Crystal Reports.
Advanced Power BI skills, including data model design and familiarity with OLAP and Tabular model design principles.
Advanced DAX and Power Query (M) skills.
Dashboard development, workspace management, and role-level security control experience.
Skills in other Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSIS, SSAS, and stored procedures.
Knowledge of Python, Scala, PySpark, R, or other programming languages.
Data profiling skills.
Knowledge of multiple development methodologies, preferably Agile.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the organization’s BI strategy and initiatives.

Work with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver BI solutions.
Collaborate with IT, operations, compliance, and other departments to integrate BI solutions and support organizational objectives.
