About The Position

CGI is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, test, and deploy IT solutions that address business requirements. The role focuses on designing and developing reliable, scalable Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions within a cloud architecture, and translating complex datasets into clear insights for organizational stakeholders. The developer will advise team members, clients, and internal stakeholders on analytics tools and dashboard best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into technical report designs. The role also involves troubleshooting, optimizing, and monitoring report performance, as well as applying data modeling and machine learning knowledge. The position is based in Arlington, Virginia, with work also described at a client site in Arlington and CGI's Fairfax office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, statistics, or mathematics.
• At least 4 years of visualization and dashboard design experience.
• Proven track record of operationalizing successful end-to-end solutions.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience implementing CI/CD/CT pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience creating and evolving data models and communicating optimal data architecture requirements.
• Experience writing and optimizing DAX code and Power Query scripts.
• Experience applying UI/UX design principles and using design solutions or frameworks.
• Experience working in an agile delivery team, preferably using Scrum.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and spoken communication, active listening, open-mindedness, inclusiveness, and respect for differing opinions.
• Ability to stay productive in a fast-paced, challenging environment with autonomy and motivation, while collaborating effectively and focusing on results and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reliable, highly scalable dashboarding and reporting solutions in a cloud architecture using Power BI.
• Provide expertise, knowledge, and guidance to team members on analytics technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain analytic reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Translate large, complex datasets into dashboards that are easy for stakeholders across the organization to understand.
• Provide clients and internal stakeholders with guidance and recommendations on dashboard best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor report performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical report designs.
