About The Position
The BI Developer at TherapyNotes designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role transforms raw data into useful insights through interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations, primarily using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate has technical expertise in data modeling and reporting, uses AI tools to improve development efficiency and solve complex challenges, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing business intelligence or analytics solutions using Power BI or similar BI tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Strong experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve productivity and efficiency in Power BI development.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated solutions and validate their accuracy, performance, and adherence to Power BI development best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and present insights clearly and meaningfully.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models, perform data transformations, and optimize queries for performance.
- Connect and integrate Power BI with data sources including SQL databases, Excel files, and cloud-based data services.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate access controls across reports and dashboards.
- Monitor and optimize report performance, usability, and reliability.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT to accelerate Power BI development, including complex DAX expressions, data models, and reporting solutions.
- Provide documentation, guidance, and training to end users to promote effective use of business intelligence tools.
- Enhance reporting solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
- Support analytics initiatives by helping establish best practices for data visualization, reporting, and data governance.
