About The Position

Yesway is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join its team. The position reports directly to the Manager of Data Analytics and Insights and partners closely with the Accounting and Finance teams. The analyst works with complex data to identify business and operational opportunities, produce forecasts and statistical insights, and develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards, visualizations, reports, and automations. The role also supports data-driven decision-making by communicating analyses clearly, collaborating with stakeholders on KPIs, and ensuring reporting accuracy and integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar analytical role.
At least 3 years of experience using BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Tableau, or Power BI.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated learning abilities.
Ability to present complex data clearly and compellingly.
Strong business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without restriction; employment visa sponsorship is not provided now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Experience in convenience retail or multi-unit retail.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with statistical tools such as R, Python, or SAS.
Strong Qlik View/Sense skills.
Strong data analysis background.
Intermediate or advanced SQL skills.
Alteryx experience.

Responsibilities

Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth and operational efficiency.
Perform statistical analysis, including linear and logistic regression, time-series analysis, and clustering.
Use appropriate forecasting methodologies to forecast sales, margins, and other variables.
Evaluate forecast accuracy and continuously improve model performance and reliability.
Communicate statistical analyses, forecasts, and insights in clear, business-friendly terms to support data-driven decision-making.
Design and build dashboards, visualizations, reports, and automations using Qlik Sense.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics aligned with business goals.
Continually monitor, improve, and upgrade Qlik dashboards, automations, and reports.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and quality checks.
Research industry trends and best practices and make recommendations for enhanced reporting.
