Senior Backend Engineer (Core)

We are seeking a senior engineer with a focus on backend and infrastructure to join our quickly expanding team at Hightouch. The ideal candidate will have experience with architecture, scalability, monitoring, and reliability. Responsibilities include designing and building core features, reviewing code changes, maintaining tooling and process for monitoring and observability, architecting key systems, and mentoring less experienced teammates. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $240,000 USD per year.

• Design, build, and ship core features to the Hightouch platform
• Review code changes and design specs from teammates
• Maintain tooling and process for monitoring and observability
• Architect key systems to handle the scale of our increasing customer load
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced teammates
• Ensure security best practices are followed for proper storing of secrets and access controls
• Work with queueing and big data systems such as Kafka, Flink, and Spark
• Monitor systems using tools such as Prometheus and Datadog
• Work with various storage systems including relational, key-value, and OLAP
• Manage infrastructure using Linux, bash, Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.
