About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform a full range of repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work, including advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles. The position works a second-shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 3 a.m., in four 10-hour shifts. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees and provides technicians with state-of-the-art tools. Applicants must pass a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Perform general and complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioners and heater cores.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
