About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform a full range of repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at its high-tech Inspection Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including heavy engine work and advanced electrical diagnostics on electric and hybrid vehicles. The position is offered on a second shift: Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Starting pay is $26 per hour, with a stated pay range of $26–$41 per hour based on experience level. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana reconditions, inspects, perfects, and photographs vehicles before they are listed for customers. The company describes its commitment as not selling a car it would not sell to its own mother. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex automotive repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
Work in a production environment to help prepare vehicles for customers.
