About The Position

SRC Automotive is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform routine equipment maintenance and assist experienced technicians with larger projects at its Springfield, Missouri manufacturing facility. The role helps keep the plant operating safely and reliably while providing practical maintenance experience. Work includes equipment upkeep, cleaning, and indoor and outdoor maintenance responsibilities.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with mandatory overtime on Fridays and occasional weekend work as needed. The role is hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic hand-tool skills and an interest in maintenance work.
• Ability to read instructions and follow simple diagrams.
• Ability to obtain company certification to operate forklifts and scissor lifts and safely perform work at heights.
• A dependable, cooperative approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including equipment lubrication, belt changes, wash and dip tank chemical changes, and fire extinguisher inspections.
• Record completed work in the maintenance tracking system.
• Perform basic building and grounds maintenance, including minor electrical tasks within training and authorization.
• Complete assigned cleaning and janitorial duties to help maintain the facility.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians I and II with repairs and more complex maintenance projects.
• Follow safety procedures when working with equipment, tools, and chemicals.
