Senior Automation Engineer || Raleigh, NC || Hybrid
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to automate and improve infrastructure provisioning, application builds, deployments, and software release processes. This is a long-term contract role based in Raleigh, NC, with a hybrid work arrangement. Interviews may be conducted by video or in person. The engineer will automate Linux patching, upgrades, and deployments; develop scripts; build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; manage source code; and work with infrastructure and containerization technologies. The role also involves troubleshooting deployment issues, improving release reliability, and collaborating with DevOps, development, infrastructure, and database teams. Occasional evening and weekend on-call support is required.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with Ansible, Linux automation, deployment automation, and Python/Bash/Shell scripting.
- 3+ years of experience with Git or Bitbucket.
- 4+ years of experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure management.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend on-call support.
Nice To Haves
- AWS infrastructure experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
