About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a seasoned and motivated developer with in-depth expertise in database automation and security for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution. The ideal candidate will leverage Python, shell scripting, Linux, and various database technologies including AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL. This position operates within an agile scrum framework and requires a hybrid work schedule of at least three days per week onsite.

Requirements

10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer or other database developer
Extensive experience with Python and shell scripting
In-depth expertise with Linux, REST API, AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL
Strong knowledge of database security concepts such as native audit logging, encryption in-transit and at-rest, entitlements, and password vaulting
Familiarity with scrum framework values and agile practices, including hands-on knowledge of Jira and CICD
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Experience with Guardium or similar activity monitoring tools
Knowledge of PowerShell and Ansible
Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure architecture

Responsibilities

Operate within an agile scrum framework.
Work onsite at least three days per week.
