About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a hybrid role with a global financial institution in Plano, Texas. The position is a 12+ month contract opportunity and requires onsite work at least three days per week. The engineer will test and deliver complex software requirements, ensuring software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through comprehensive testing. The role focuses on test data conditioning and generation, building and executing manual and automated test suites, communicating test results, and supporting defect triage within an Agile environment.

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Proven experience in UI and API test automation using Java, Selenium, and RestAssured.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Proficiency with source control systems such as GitHub or BitBucket.
Experience with Lean Agile methodologies.
Lean Agile certification.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Jira.
Experience with Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

Lead test planning and case reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure thorough test coverage.
Create and manage traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
Use testing tools and processes to complete testing and support code promotion.
Maintain and catalog test suites across test types, including smoke, integration, and regression testing.
Implement and maintain test automation frameworks, identify automation opportunities, and develop automation for applicable test types.
Execute manual and automated tests and report issues and defects with clear background information.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
