About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role performs specimen collections, provides customer service to patients, and completes related administrative and specimen-processing duties. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Travel to additional sites may be required. The position may offer opportunities for growth and continuous development. Eligible Phlebotomist positions may participate in a quarterly incentive plan based on performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least six months of phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program from an accredited agency may be accepted in lieu of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
