Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of public accounting audit experience
  • Experience performing audit procedures and fieldwork
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Previous experience supervising staff
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, government contractors, or employee benefit plans

Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise audit fieldwork and testing procedures
  • Administer audit engagements and assist with engagement planning
  • Complete audit procedures in accordance with professional standards
  • Prepare and review audit workpapers
  • Assist in finalizing engagement deliverables
  • Interact professionally with client personnel
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Communicate audit findings and requests effectively
  • Help clients navigate accounting and reporting issues
  • Deliver exceptional client service throughout engagements
  • Supervise and train entry-level audit staff
  • Review staff work and provide coaching
  • Mentor developing professionals
  • Support engagement teams in meeting deadlines
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Apply GAAP and GAAS principles throughout engagements
  • Research accounting and auditing issues
  • Assist with complex audit areas
  • Maintain compliance with professional standards
  • Continue expanding technical expertise and industry knowledge
